Welcome to KarmOffice ("we", "our", or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our mobile application.
2. Data Collection and Storage (100% On-Device)
KarmOffice is designed with a privacy-first, offline architecture:
Local Storage: All files, movement logs, notes, tasks, agendas, voice transcriptions, and profile details you enter are stored strictly locally on your device in a secure SQLite Room database and encrypted application storage.
No Cloud Account or Database: We do not operate external web servers that collect, store, or transmit your files or personal records.
User-Controlled Backups: The app offers local JSON export/import for backups. These backup files remain solely in your custody and on your device or personal storage provider.
3. Permissions Used by the Application
To deliver its core office utility features, the app requests the following Android permissions:
Audio Recording (RECORD_AUDIO): Used exclusively to enable the on-device voice note recorder and speech-to-text dictation feature for hands-free notes and task creation. Voice input is processed locally or via system services and is never stored on any external company server.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used solely to alert you of approaching task deadlines, scheduled meeting reminders, backup reminders, and notifications when a new app update is ready on Google Play.
Network & Internet (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Required for displaying Google AdMob advertisements and checking for app updates via the Google Play In-App Update API.
Vibration (VIBRATE): Used for tactile feedback upon notification triggers and reminder alarms.
4. Advertising & Third-Party SDKs
The application integrates third-party services that may collect information used to identify your device in accordance with their respective privacy policies:
Google AdMob (Google Play Services):
We use Google AdMob (Publisher ID: pub-8497938951597030) to serve banner and interstitial advertisements. Google AdMob may collect and process device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID), IP addresses, and general analytics data to serve relevant or non-personalized ads according to Google's privacy guidelines.

KarmOffice is designed for working adults and office professionals. It is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children.
