Welcome to Riyaz Guru. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any information that may be processed when you use our Indian classical vocal Riyaz and pitch training application. This Privacy Policy explains how our application functions and handles your data.

1. Microphone & Audio Processing (Crucial Disclosure)

        🎤 No Voice or Audio Recordings Are Ever Stored or Uploaded
        Riyaz Guru processes audio input in real-time exclusively on your local device. We never transmit, save, or share any spoken voice or singing audio.
    

To provide pitch detection, tuning feedback (In Tune, Flat, Sharp), Swar Sadhana, and vocal stability analysis, Riyaz Guru requires permission to access your device's microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO).

On-Device Real-Time Processing: The raw microphone PCM audio stream is analyzed in the device's volatile memory (RAM) using signal processing algorithms to calculate fundamental pitch frequencies ($F_0$).
Immediate Discard: Audio buffers are discarded immediately after calculating frequency metrics. No audio files are ever written to your device storage or uploaded to any external server.

2. Locally Stored Information

Riyaz Guru stores your practice history locally on your device via an encrypted on-device database:

Selected base tonic (Sa / Shruti preference).
Daily practice minutes and streak counters.
Aggregated performance statistics (accuracy percentage, notes practiced).

This information remains entirely on your physical device and can be erased at any time by clearing the application data or uninstalling the app.

3. Third-Party Services & Advertising (Google AdMob)

Riyaz Guru displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob to support free access to our vocal training tools. Google AdMob may automatically collect and process certain non-personal device information, including:

Google Advertising ID (GAID / AD_ID).
Device brand, model, operating system version, and screen size.
IP address and general coarse location (for serving relevant regional ads).
Ad interaction metrics (impressions, clicks).

4. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Riyaz Guru does not knowingly collect any personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately, and we will promptly take appropriate action.

We prioritize the security of your data. Because all vocal signal analysis takes place locally on your device hardware without cloud storage, your voice and singing practice remain completely private.
