1. Information We Collect and Process
1.1 User-Created Content (Stored Locally)
All data created inside the application—including task titles, descriptions, due dates, reminder times, tags, priorities, subtasks, and category labels—is stored locally in your device's internal SQLite/Room database. We do not host remote databases of your personal to-do items.
1.2 Automatically Collected Data (Third-Party Services)
To keep the application free to use, we integrate third-party ad services (Google AdMob). The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect certain pseudonymous device and diagnostic metrics:
- Device Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (GAID / AAID), IP address, device model, operating system version.
- Ad Interaction Data: Views, clicks, impressions, and ad performance diagnostics.
- App Performance: Crash logs, diagnostic metrics, and load completion times.
2. App Permissions and Their Justification
| Permission | Type | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
android.permission.INTERNET |
Normal | Allows loading banner and interstitial advertisements via the Google AdMob SDK. |
android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE |
Normal | Monitors network connectivity to determine when ads can be refreshed. |
android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS |
Runtime | Displays scheduled reminder alerts for your pending tasks and deadlines. |
android.permission.SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM |
Special | Ensures your scheduled task alarms trigger at the exact user-specified date and time. |
android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED |

android.permission.VIBRATE |
Normal | Provides tactile feedback when a scheduled reminder alarm triggers. |
3. Third-Party Services and Advertising
We use Google AdMob to display banner and interstitial ads within the application. Google AdMob may use device identifiers, cookies, and location data to deliver relevant ads or frequency-capped non-personalized ads according to your regional consent settings (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA).

4. Data Retention and Deletion
- Task Data: Because all tasks, notes, and categories remain on your device, you maintain full control over your data. You can delete individual tasks or clear all application data at any time via Settings > Apps > ToDo Task > Clear Storage / Clear Data, or by uninstalling the application.
- Advertising ID: You can reset or delete your Android Advertising ID at any time in your device settings under Settings > Google > Ads > Delete advertising ID.
5. Children's Privacy
ToDo Task does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so appropriate measures can be taken.
6. Security
Your task data is secured within your Android operating system's application sandbox, preventing other third-party applications on your device from accessing your task database without root authorization.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Effective Date". We recommend reviewing this page periodically for any changes.
