Welcome to VocalSync. We respect your privacy and are committed to safeguarding the personal data of our users. This policy outlines how your information is handled when using the VocalSync application.

1. 100% On-Device Data Storage (Audio & Video)

VocalSync is built as a privacy-first, offline-capable vocal recording and video studio:

• Microphone & Vocal Audio (RECORD_AUDIO): The app requires access to your microphone solely to record your raw singing performances, display real-time VU level meters, and perform pitch/harmony analysis. All audio processing (DSP filters, noise reduction, compression, EQ, reverb) happens locally on your device. Your recorded voice files (WAV) are never uploaded to any external server or cloud database.
• Camera & Video Recording (CAMERA): When you choose to use the "Camera + Lyrics" singing mode, the app accesses your device's camera to record your singing performance video. The camera video and synchronized lyrics remain stored strictly in your local device storage.
• Imported Files & Lyrics (READ_MEDIA_AUDIO): Audio backing tracks or lyrics files you select for practice are read directly from local storage and are never collected or transmitted.

2. Third-Party Advertising & AdMob / AdSense Policy

To support free development, VocalSync may display third-party advertisements served by Google AdMob / Google AdSense. These services may collect and process certain non-personally identifiable technical information in accordance with Google's policies:

• Data Collected by Ad Providers: IP address, device identifiers (Google Advertising ID / GAID), coarse location, ad interaction metrics, and crash logs.
• Purpose: To deliver relevant advertisements, limit repetitive ads, and protect against fraudulent traffic.
• Personalized Ads Control: You can manage or reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads at any time directly in your Android system settings: Settings > Google > Ads > Reset Advertising ID / Delete Advertising ID.

3. Permissions Used in the App

• android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO: To capture high-fidelity vocal takes and perform real-time pitch detection.
• android.permission.CAMERA: To capture video during the optional front-camera performance recording mode.
• android.permission.INTERNET: To load advertisements and banner updates.
• android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: To determine network availability for ad loading.

4. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

VocalSync does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. Since all vocal recordings and camera captures remain stored locally on the user's device, no personal data from minors is harvested or shared.

5. Security of Your Data

Because your audio recordings and video projects are stored on your local device, you maintain full control over your creations. You can export, share, or delete your vocal takes and singing videos at any time from the app's library.
